Sensory garden

I was asked to design a Sensory Garden for a residential home belonging to a large care provider in Somerset. The idea to build a Sensory Garden was to provide sensory opportunities and contains features such as scented and edible plants, sculptures and water features designed to make sound.
Sensory 1 Before The existing garden was mainly lawn and therefore inaccessible to many of the residents who were wheelchair users. The new design included several spacious seating areas, a large pergola provided shade. Sensory garden after
Sensory garden before The design and layout provided a stimulating journey through the senses, heightening awareness and bringing positive learning experiences. Themed areas included an allotment with shed & living sedum roof, a seaside garden & wildlife garden.  Sensory 5 Mature
