Contemporary garden with porcelain terrace

The clients had recently purchased the property and were starting the process of having the dated bungalow converted into a modern spacious home with a large glass fronted kitchen dining area opening out onto the garden.

The new garden needed to flow seamlessly from the house and provide several areas for eating including a covered outdoor kitchen with pizza oven. A large shed and old apple trees were to be retained and the bottom of the garden was reserved for vegetables.

The final design incorporated porcelain paving chosen to match the internal flooring, two circular lawns enclosed by a gravel path which led to the vegetable area. Lattice fencing was used to divide the utility area and climbers once established will partially screen the bottom of the garden from view.

The planting used a small selection of shrubs for structure with the areas near the house planted in a contemporary feel with grasses and perennials for year round colour.

“Thank you for all your hard work and giving us a garden that we are both absolutely delighted with. We love the design you put together for us and the planting you did last week is the icing on the cake… we love it!”
